purnasparlor:

(re-posted from my main blog…)

It’s late one evening in Cragstead and just about everyone in the
mead hall has conked out or is settling down. You decide to stay up and
enjoy a quiet and thoughtful evening apart from all the drinking and
boasting for once. In the midst of contemplation of your next task after
leaving Cragstead, the quiet is broken by the sound of the front door
opening, followed by the howling wind.

You notice a slender figure
walking in, promptly shutting the door behind them. A few steps into
the torch lights reveal them to be an oddly dressed and decorated charr
holding a keg in her hands. The sound of ale sloshed and splashed about
within as she made her way into the hall.

She wore cloth and
finery of deep scarlet and black, completely unfit for combat. You
observe her colors resemble a member of the Order of Whispers, but she’s
unarmed. Minding her own business, she leans down to place her keg next
to the others. Hushed sounds of wood carefully scraping along the floor
echoed throughout the hall as she lined the kegs up for the morning
guests.

Once the scraping is silenced and the sounds of snoring
and idle chatter once again litter the hall, you see her leaning
casually over one of the kegs to take a breather. Her raised tail draws
your attention and a rush of warmth washes over your face as you
promptly make out a lack of undergarments underneath her skirt. She
doesn’t seem to notice you, and you keep staring as she combs her mane
from her face with her hand, her tail flagging slowly back and forth
above her.

You feel the urge to say something to this charr, but
the silence bars you from calling out to her. Your heavy boots upon the
wooden floor prevents any silent approach. As you remain in your seat in
mild frustration, she suddenly turns her head over her shoulder and
gazes directly to you. Your heart races and your body stiffens as her
vivid emerald eyes pierce you like sultry daggers.

She doesn’t budge, but merely grins your way and lets out a little chuckle before finally speaking…
